Hi, I'm Tristan Eager, owner and inspector at Eager Inspections. I'm a licensed Texas Professional Engineer (TX PE #128938) and I've been inspecting homes across Dallas–Fort Worth since 2016. I started my career as a civil engineer designing plans for storm drainage, sanitary sewer lines, lift stations, grading and utilities for various commercial and heavy civil projects across North Texas. Eventually, I became interested in roles that had more time in the field and I moved into heavy highway construction. As a project engineer, I split my time between production tracking, maintaining schedules, contractor coordination and quality control.   My quality control work was to ensure that construction activities were performed according to the plans.  In this role, I inspected lots of concrete and steel. Due to phasing or constructability issues, I had frequent projects that required devising solutions in the field and providing full as-build documentation. Things didn’t always go as planned and I was also involved with the repair of a lot of concrete structures. 

Why does all this matter for your home inspection?  I have experience designing and building what the average inspector learns about in an online class. This helps gives me confidence to tell you what is an issue and what is not.
